Our business model
Simplicity and scalability are the two keywords of our business model.
You will start out with a single van, fully fitted out with Zerorez's proprietary cleaning technology and tools - everything you need to clean carpets, tiles and surfaces better than anyone else.
As well as making the business manageable, this hands-on approach enables you to focus on mastering the core elements of the business, building your customer base, and honing your skills. It's important to remember you must be physically capable to carry out this work.
Then, as you gain experience, and build your team and customer base, you can increase your fleet and deliver additional cleaning services. Longer-term, you will also have the opportunity to move into new franchise territories should you wish.
This step-by-step approach ensures you are never overwhelmed and can scale your business in a way that aligns with your goals and resources.
Franchise financials
Initial investment
To get started, you will need to invest circa £125,000, plus have an additional £40,000 in working capital.
The initial investment includes the purchase of a new van and its fit-out, including the machinery required to deliver the Zerorez difference to customers.
We have excellent relationships with high street banks and specialist franchise lenders who are willing to loan up to 50% of the total investment required, subject to status.
Expected returns
Your initial ROI is dependent on how you choose to finance your franchise. However, it is important to note that your initial investment establishes a solid foundation for the business to be profitable after your first year.
From there, your business should scale year-on-year as repeat custom grows and you shift focus to other areas of the business.
Profit margins across the franchise network after your first year are typically between 15-20%.
Reliable cash flow
Customers pay on the day of the service, providing immediate cash flow from day one, whilst you manage your payroll at month-end. This immediate revenue stream is a significant advantage and allows you to manage the business' finances with confidence.
